This website has valuable resources to help research majors, colleges, and careers.  Every CPS student already has an account created for them.  Use the information below to log it.

Account Name:  cps+id number  (ex:  cps12345678  - notice lowercase letters)

Password:          Cps+id number  (ex:  Cps12345678 - Capital "C")

What credits do I need in order to graduate?

• Foreman HS requires every student to take and pass the following academic courses.  A total of 24 credits are needed (1 year = 1 credit).

What are the course requirements?

• 4 years of English
  • 3 years of Social Studies
  • 3 years of Science
  • 3 years of Mathematics
  • 2 years of the SAME foreign Language

Foreman offers Spanish, Polish and French

• 2 years of Fine Arts (1 year of Art and Music each)
• 2 years of Physical Education (PE) or ROTC
• 2 years of Career Education Courses

This includes computer classes, business classes, and Jobs for Illinois Graduates, AP classes, ROTC 3, 4, and others

• 3 years of Electives (MINIMUM)

Any extra art, music, math, computer, business, social studies, science, business classes, R.O.T.C., P.E., etc., will count as an elective

Is there anything else I need to take?

• 40 Service Learning Hours (SLH)
• Pass the U.S. Constitution Exam (Given during U.S. History Class)
• Pass the Illinois Consumer Ed Exam (Given during 3^rd year of Social Studies)
• Pass 30 classroom hours of Driver’s Education (Given During PE 2)
• Praire State Achievement Examination (PSAE) which includes the ACT and WorkKeys (Given during Junior Year)

How can I know if I am completing these requirements?

• Ask your high school counselor for an Academic Transcript! This record shows all of the credits you have earned since freshman year.

How many credits and service learning hours do I need for promotion?

	1st Semester	2nd Semester**
Freshman ® Sophomore	5 credits and 10 SLH	8 credits and 10 SLH
Sophomore ® Junior	11 credits and 20 SLH	14 credits and 20 SLH
Junior ® Senior	17 credits and 30 SLH	20 credits and 30 SLH

SLH = Service Learning Hours

** - Notice credit and SLH requirements are higher for 2nd semester promotions
