Dear Parent/Guardian:
Welcome to Foreman High School! We are very excited to have you and your child to be a part of Foreman High School. As the Business Manager, I would like to give you some information of some of the financial obligations for your child.
Each year, the school reviews and assesses the student fee charges that each family will be responsible for paying. The Student Fees for 2012-2013 School Year is $100.00. An additional $20.00 is for the school yearbook. Included with this letter is a copy of the student fee schedule which gives you a breakdown of what the $100.00 covers and any additional fees such as the school uniform shirt, gym uniform and school lock. Payment or pre-orders to reserve a yearbook will be taken at Orientation and in the very beginning of the school year.
The student fee is required to be paid in the beginning of the school year. You will be able to make your payment on the Orientation dates in August or during the first weeks of school. Payments can be made in the form of Cash, Money Order or Credit Card (a $5.00 charge fee is added on when using a credit card). We do not accept personal checks. If you are under financial strains, please come in and see me so that we can set up a workable payment plan.
There will be School Waiver Forms available to complete if you cannot pay your child’s fees (attachment). The deadline for completing a waiver form along with the necessary documentation to have your waiver reviewed is October 26, 2012. Waivers will not be accepted after the deadline.
Seniors have an additional Graduation Fee of $100.00. This fee covers the graduation luncheon, graduation ceremony location rental fee, diploma covers, flowers, security and misc. expenses that are part of graduation. Please note that the cap and gown is not part of graduation fee. The cap and gown is ordered through Josten’s. The seniors will receive more information from their senior advisor at a later date.
Foreman’s uniform policy requires a Foreman school shirt. If you need to purchase new shirts you can do so on the Orientation Date or the first week of school. Please note that failure to wear the uniform or ID could cause additional debts to your child’s account such as issuing a shirt/temporary IDs. It is important that your child comes to school prepared and on time. He/She must be in uniform and present their school ID when they walk in the front door in the morning everyday and all day.
I hope that I have provided you helpful information on the financial portion of your child’s fees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your child continue his/her educational experience at Foreman. A reminder that the first day of school starts on Tuesday, Sept.4, 2012.
Sincerely,
Ms. Deborah Alongi
